Creating a Tax

In the Taxes settings dialog you can store different taxes, for example VAT. A tax rate is created as follows:

  • Open the "Administration" tab
  • In the "Finances" section, tap "Taxes"
  • A dialog for creating a tax opens:
    • Name, e.g. VAT
    • Tax rate, e.g. 19%
    • Included in price: If this box is checked, the tax rate is factored into the displayed price.
      • If the box is not checked, the tax rate is added on top of the price.
    • Valid from / Valid until: You can specify a period during which the given tax rate applies.
      • If no date or period is specified, the tax rate applies immediately and indefinitely.
  • Tapping the checkmark in the top right saves your entries, closes the dialog and completes the setup.
  • You can cancel your entry using the "X" in the top left.

If several tax rates are specified, all tax rates stored in the system are used for price calculation.
