Creating a booking

Tip

For a booking, only the last name or first name, the date, and at least one capacity are required.

A booking is created as follows:

• Open the "Bookings" tab
• Tap the blue plus icon in the lower right corner
• An input dialog opens to create a booking. Only as much data as necessary is requested or stored:
  • Customer/contact information
    • Salutation (if "First name" selected, the customer is addressed informally in system-wide communication
    • First name, last name
    • Email
    • Phone number
  • Capacities
    • Date
      • If "All day" is deselected, the time can be selected. The current time is taken as the starting value. This can be adjusted as desired. For a direct booking, the quick options “+1 hour”, “+1 day” or “-1 day” can be selected here. The time period is adjusted accordingly.
    • Selection of capacity and quantity
      • The system automatically determines the availabilities for the selected period. This is shown in the numbers behind it.
      • The freely bookable quantity is displayed. Any Reserve that may be held back is not included in it, but appears additionally as “+20” on the quantity display — in the selection list as a footer, in the collapsed selection next to it. Screen readers announce it as "(+20 reserve)".
      • If the freely bookable quantity is used up, the capacity remains selectable as long as there is Reserve left.
      • The first access to the Reserve of a capacity is confirmed — "Dip into the reserve?": "Only 20 reserve units are left of “Trekking bike”. Use the reserve for this booking?" With "Yes, use the reserve" the quantity is accepted; with "Cancel" it remains unchanged. The confirmation is valid for this capacity until the end of the editing session.
    • If prices are stored in the system (see Article x), the price for the booking is determined automatically. Tap the "i" icon to display information about the calculation
    • Notes
      • Helpful information about the booking can be provided here.
    • By tapping on the check mark in the upper right corner, the entries are saved, the dialog is closed, and the creation of the booking is completed
      • If the available quantity of a capacity is not sufficient — for example, because another booking has been made in the meantime — nothing is saved. The missing capacities are reported with the missing quantity: "Insufficient availability: Trekking bike (2)". If the reason cannot be determined, "The changes could not be saved." appears. The entries are retained and can be adjusted.
    • The entry can be canceled via the "X" in the upper left corner.
      • Changes made are not discarded. They can be reloaded if necessary (dialog-supported).
