Creating a capacity

A capacity describes a type of item that can be rented, along with its maximum availability. It is created as follows:

  • Open the "Capacities" tab
  • Tap the blue plus icon at the bottom right → Select capacity
  • An input dialog opens in which a category, the name, and two quantities can be specified:
    • "Amount" — the available quantity and thus the maximum availability ("Max. availability").
    • "Reserve" — the part of this quantity that is held back ("Held-back quantity"). This entry is optional; if nothing is entered, nothing is held back. The Reserve is not counted in the availability display and can only be used in a booking after explicit confirmation — see Reserve.
  • By tapping on the check mark in the upper right corner, the entries are saved, the dialog is closed, and the creation is completed.
  • The entry can be canceled via the "X" in the upper left corner
warning

The Reserve is included in the quantity; it is not added to it. This results in two checks:

  • If the Reserve is greater than the quantity, the field reports "The reserve must not exceed the amount (120)" and the entries cannot be saved.
  • If, after deducting the Reserve, fewer units are left than open bookings require at the same time, the message "Careful! After subtracting the reserve 100 remain, but upcoming bookings require at least 110." appears. Saving is still possible — existing bookings remain unchanged, but then nothing is freely bookable anymore.

This creates the bookable type. If the individual physical items are to be distinguishable, rental objects are also created.
