Branches
A branch is another location within the same organization. It operates with its own capacities, bookings and pricing models, but also uses the organization's subscription.
Requirements for creating a branch:
- The role "Admin" in the organization
- A subscription at the Professional or an ongoing trial
- The request is made in the organization itself — no further branch can be created within a branch
Creating a branch
- Open the "Management" tab
- In the segment "Account" Tap on the organization
- Scroll to the segment "Branches" scroll
- Tap "Create branch" Tap
- Confirm the query "Create a new branch for this tenant?" with "Continue" with
The new branch will be created immediately and will initially bear the name of the organization with an addition. The name is changed on the branch's details page in the segment "General" via the field"Name" field.
If the Professional, "Create branch" is deactivated and, next to it, the the button "Upgrade", which leads directly to the"Subscriptions" .
What a new branch takes over
When creating a new store, some details of the organization are copied once:
- The contact details
- The organization's settings, such as currency and invoice language
- The region
This is a snapshot: If the organization's address is changed later, the branch's address will not change will not change with it. Both are managed separately from the time they are created.
What is separate and what applies to both
| Area | Separate for each branch | Shared with the organization |
|---|---|---|
| Capacities and categories | ✅ | ❌ |
| Bookings, pickups and returns | ✅ | ❌ |
| Inquiries and availabilities from Connect | ✅ | ❌ |
| Price models and tax rates | ✅ | ❌ |
| Invoices, receipts and payments | ✅ | ❌ |
| Message templates and messages | ✅ | ❌ |
| Team and roles | ✅ | ❌ |
| Card payment: the connection to SumUp | ✅ | ❌ |
| Subscription and license | ❌ | ✅ |
In short: A branch only shares the subscription with its organization. All operational matters are managed separately separately and must be set up for each branch — includingcard payment, whose SumUp connection applies to all devices in a branch, but not beyond the branch.
Switching between organization and branch
In the segment "Account" the branches are indented under their organization. You can switch by pressing and holding on the entry — a quick tap will only open its details page. The app indicates this with "Hold to switch organization" and then confirms the change with"Switched to another tenant".
After the switch, all tabs display the data of the selected branch.
Deleting a branch
All data for the branch will be deleted: capacities, bookings, invoices, payments, message templates and the assignment of its team. Exporting the data in advance is the only way to retain it.
- Switch to the branch to be deleted and open its details page
- Scroll to the "Danger Zone" section
- Tap "Delete branch" and confirm with "Continue" confirm
After deletion, the app returns to the "Management".
Please note:
- Deletion requires the role "Admin" in the branch itself in the store itself. The segment"Danger Zone" only appears within a branch.
- There is no query about open bookings and no waiting period. Once confirmation has been given, the branch gone.
- An organization cannot be deleted in this way — only a branch.
Costs
Branches are billed based on usage: On the organization's invoice, they appear as a separate item "Branches", the quantity of which depends on the number of branches created. The organization itself is not counted here — only the first additional branch incurs costs.
The current prices can be found in the Price overview. If a branch is deleted, it will no longer be included the next time usage is recorded.
