Organization at a glance
An organization is the account under which the entire rental business My Rental is managed: capacities, bookings, Price models, invoices and the team always belong to exactly one organization. The subscription is also linked to the organization, not to the individual user.
If you operate several locations, you create branches branches. A branch belongs to an organization, but works but works with its own data.
Where to find all of this
All settings on this page are located in the tab "Management" in the segment"Account". All organizations and branches to which the logged-in user has access to; branches are listed indented under their organization.
- Tapping Tapping on an entry opens its details page — with the name, the team and (in the case of an organization) the "License" and the "Branches".
- A long press switches to this entry. The app indicates this with "Hold to switch organization" this.
If there is more than one entry, "Only active" all organizations whose license is not active; "All" shows all of them again.
Organization or branch?
| Another branch | Another organization | |
|---|---|---|
| Subscription | Also used by the organization | Own subscription, own billing |
| Costs | Pay-per-use per branch | Full price per organization |
| Capacities, bookings, price models | Separate | Separate |
| Team | Separate — invite each branch individually | Separate |
| Creation | In the app, see Branches | Via a separate registration |
A branch is therefore the right choice for an additional location of the same company. A separate organization is the right choice for a legally independent business that is to be billed separately.
Branches are part of Professional. In the app's product list and in the price overview, this feature is called "Multi-location (pay-per-use)" — this refers precisely to the branch that is described on this page . With Standard , no branch can be created. Details underManage subscription.
Roles
In every organization and in every branch, each team member has exactly one of two roles.
| What | Member | Admin |
|---|---|---|
| Create and edit bookings, inquiries and availabilities | ✅ | ✅ |
| Send messages and edit message templates | ✅ | ✅ |
| Record payments | ✅ | ✅ |
| View payments | ❌ | ✅ |
| Edit price models and tax rates | ❌ | ✅ |
| Change the name of the organization or branch | ❌ | ✅ |
| Manage team: invite and remove | ❌ | ✅ |
| Connect and disconnect SumUp | ❌ | ✅ |
| Manage subscription | ❌ | ✅ |
| Create and delete a branch | ❌ | ✅ |
The last two points have additional requirements that also apply to an admin:
- The subscription is only managed in the organization itself, not in a branch. A branch therefore does not display no "License" .
- Creating a branch requires Professional or an ongoing trial. No further branch can be created no further branch can be created — branches are not nested.
Roles apply per organization or per branch. Anyone who is an admin in the organization does not yet have access to its branches — see Manage team.
License and trial
The "License" of the organization indicates which services are activated. Immediately after registration, a trial of 14 days begins, during which Professional is fully available. The card then has a title in the form "Professional (14-day preview)" and the note "valid until" with the end date.
Branches do not have their own license: They adopt the level and status of their organization's subscription. If the organization's subscription expires, its branches are also affected.
Information on how to take out, change, and manage a subscription can be found underManage subscription.
