First Steps

Ready to get started? We've put together a short guide to make it easier to begin using the My Rental app. Below you'll find the recommended steps for getting an overview of the app's core features. If you'd like to explore the individual features in more depth, take a look at the menu items on the left.

Sign-up

Signing up for My Rental is completely free, and no credit card is required to get started. After registering, sample capacities (rental objects) are created and displayed so you can try out the app.

First Booking

A booking requires at least one capacity. For testing, you can use the sample data that is available after registration.

To create your first booking, or rental, first open the "Bookings" tab. Then tap the blue plus icon in the bottom right. An input dialog for creating a booking will open. For a first booking, it's enough to enter the first or last name, the date or period of the booking, and the capacities to be rented out. Tap the checkmark in the top right to save your entries, close the dialog, and complete the creation of the booking.

Viewing the Pickup and Return of a Rental

The "Bookings" tab shows all bookings created in the app. The bookings are sorted by date in ascending order - the next pickup of a booked capacity appears at the top, with those further in the future further down. Bookings are grouped by day.

By default, pickups are shown. The "Return" tab displays all upcoming returns. The listing works the same way as for pickups.

Creating a Rental

To create a capacity or rental, first open the "Capacities" tab. Then tap the blue plus icon in the bottom right and select the capacity you want. An input dialog will open in which you can set the category, the name, and the quantity or maximum availability. Tap the checkmark in the top right to save your entries, close the dialog, and complete the creation. Alternatively, you can cancel the entry at any time using the "X" in the top left.
